On June 27, 2022, China Radio and Television (CRTV) officially launched its 5G network services, thereby becoming the nation’s fourth major telecom operator alongside Mobile, Telecom, and Unicom. The new广电5G network operates in the 700MHz frequency band, which is characterized by its wide coverage, strong penetration, and fast internet speeds.

The 700MHz band, the lowest in the 5G spectrum, boasts powerful penetration and extensive coverage. The广电5G network has been activated across all 31 provincial regions in China, reaching over 800 million people.
Strong Penetration
With its longer wavelength, the 700MHz frequency can easily penetrate through buildings and foliage, ensuring good signal quality indoors and in rural areas.
Fast Speeds
虽不及三大运营商，广电5G网络的下行峰值速率可达2.5Gbps，上行峰值速率可达1Gbps，仍能满足用户的日常 internet speed requirements.
